Browser Extension (KODAN: Deep Focus & Site Blocker)

KODAN is our Chrome browser extension that pairs with your MainQuest account. The data practices below describe what the extension specifically collects, transmits, and stores. The rest of this Privacy Policy continues to apply where relevant.

What KODAN Collects

• An authentication token issued by play.mainquest.net when you connect the extension, stored locally in Chrome extension storage
• Focus session metadata you create inside the extension (selected method, duration, completion state, linked quest) — transmitted to api.mainquest.net to update your character's XP, HP, and streak
• Optional bug reports you submit through the in-extension form, including your browser's user-agent string and the path you were on when you submitted

What KODAN Does Not Collect

• KODAN never reads, transmits, or stores the contents of any web page you visit
• KODAN never logs your browsing history; distracting-site blocking is matched locally inside Chrome via the declarativeNetRequest API
• KODAN does not execute remote code — all JavaScript is bundled into the extension package at build time
• KODAN does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs

Data Transmission

The extension communicates only with https://api.mainquest.net, the same backend used by the MainQuest web and mobile applications. No data is sent to any other domain.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data collected through the extension forms part of your MainQuest account. Deleting your account via the account settings on play.mainquest.net or by emailing privacy@endspec.net removes all extension-collected data along with the rest of your profile within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

MainQuest is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
